I am recently diagnosed with HBsAg positive. (I am 37 yrs male) I did further tests upon consulting a Hepatologist and the results are: HEPATITIS B e ANTIBODY Specimen-Serum TEST VALUE Test Result Positive Test Method ELFA (Enzyme Immunoassay With Fluorescent Detection HEPATITIS B e ANTIGEN Specimen-Serum TEST VALUE Test Result Negative Test Method ELFA (Enzyme Immunoassay With Fluorescent Detection Serum LIVER FUNCTION TEST BILIRUBIN-TOTAL (mod.J Groff)** 0.80 mg/dl [0.10-1.20] BILIRUBIN - DIRECT (mod.J Groff) 0.30 mg/dl [0.00-0.40] SGOT/ AST (P5P,IFCC) 14 IU/L [5-37] SGPT/ ALT (P5P,IFCC) 13 IU/L [10-50] ALP (p-NPP,kinetic)* 65 IU/L [45-135] TOTAL PROTEIN (mod.Biuret) 7.6 g/dl [6.0-8.2] SERUM ALBUMIN (BCG-dye) 4.5 g/dl [3.5-5.2] SERUM GLOBULIN (Calculated) 3.1 g/dl [1.8-3.4] ALB/GLOB (A/G) Ratio 1.5 [1.1-1.8] Please suggest if I need treatment for HBV
hi your serology shows hbsag +, hbs ag-,. and hbs ab + ,,that means your in low infectvity period..and as ur liver function tests are normal...so u don't need any treatment... repeat the tests at every 6months

What Does this Liver Function Test Result Mean?
hi your serology shows hbsag +, hbs ag-,. and hbs ab + ,,that means your in low infectvity period..and as ur liver function tests are normal...so u don t need any treatment... repeat the tests at every 6months
